Control Panel — Windows 98 Simulator

The Control Panel is where you set up a PC in 1998: pick a screen resolution, change the wallpaper and screen saver, assign sounds to events, set the date, and install or remove programs. Plug and Play was new, and so was the Display Properties that you could reach by right-clicking the desktop.

The Windows 98 Control Panel with working applets: Display (wallpaper, the 3D Pipes and other screen savers, appearance schemes), Sounds, Mouse pointers, Date/Time, Regional Settings, System and Add/Remove Programs.

Changes are saved in your browser, just like the real thing keeps them in the registry.
